Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox attended the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She took a course in harpsichord and flautist piano over 3 years. The money she earned came from a student allowance and took in part-time jobs to increase her income. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy with her performance in comparison to her classmates. Then she began to consider different options. Lennox was initially an instrument player with the group Dragons Playground. The group didn't get to compete in the competition for talent New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and 1980 she was singer-songwriter for The Tourists, a British Pop group. There she made friends with Dave Stewart who would later create Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to record her debut solo album Diva. It was released in the year 1992. It was an enormous success with regard to the sales as well as critically acclaimed. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is composed of Lennox's favourite soul, jazz and blues songs from her youth. Lepidoptera was released by Lennox on the 19th of May 2019. The album is comprising four tracks that were composed by Lennox. The E.P. This is the companion album to her album Now I Let the door open... art installation, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first independent album.
