Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's sons was born in Woodland Hills in the year 1956. Her father was a teacher while her mother was a domestic worker. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. At a young age, McCormick enjoyed singing and dance, and she would frequently perform puppet shows for the neighborhood children. When McCormick was six years older, she was crowned an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked if she would like to enter the show business. McCormick had her first significant task when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she starred in another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical the play Wind It Up And It is Broken on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen out of a crowd of over 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to play the eldest of three towheaded girls in the upcoming TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. This show lasted for five years. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the shows fifth season she almost lost her virginity to her screen co-star and brother Barry Williams.
