Anita Barone
An actress with a variety of stage roles who was mostly confined to show-biz sitcoms TV, Anita Barone received her most memorable performance in the medium when she played husband to Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which ran one season on ABC between 1995 and 1996. Barone began her performance on stage at the age of five in Detroit and was raised following the move of her family to the city from St Louis. She was in the stage for more than fifty plays before the age of 23 mostly for regional and university theatres as well as for regional productions. Among her stage roles were Juliet of "Romeo and Juliet," Helen Keller in the production from "Monday After The Miracle" and the title performance of Agnes an innocent nun in "Agnes of God." Her debut on screen was a part-time role in "The Roseary Murders", a cameo in "Ricochet" along with her role as the main character in an indie romantic comedy "Just Friends", in 1996. Barone was commissioned by NBC from 1990 to 1991 as a stockholder in "Carol and Company" that was a failed plan to Carol Burnett at reviving the sketch comedy/variety show. Barone appeared as a character in "Wounded Heart" in 1995, an USA Network film. She returned to sitcoms that air on a weekly basis as a co-star on "Daddio", NBC 2000 together co-starring with Michael Chiklis.
